The
New Media Alliance, Inc. (www.thenma.org)
is a
foundation of
Heritage New Media Partners, Inc.
established to promote and defend
traditional social, political
and economic principles nationally. We are a non-partisan,
non-profit, tax-exempt educational foundation under Section
501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Codes. Our work is achieved
primarily through the origination and dissemination of
commentary, analysis, news and research tools via the public
internet and other channels. Additionally we provide media
distribution, public relations and support services for the
conservative grass-roots community.
The
Reality
Check on Campus
(tm)
is an
initiative of
the
New Media Alliance, Inc. that is designed to
provide support services to college and university conservatives
facing challenges resulting from the lack of intellectual
diversity on
campuses throughout the country.
Through this
venture, our growing network of concerned campus activists and
reporters are able to access extensive
media outreach
tools,
support services
and reference materials
that will better ensure their voices are heard.
At the
New Media Alliance, Inc., we are committed to
ensuring
that the term “diversity” also includes conservative thought and
perspective in the public square, in our media AND on college
campuses.
What We Provide
In addition to the content
and capabilities provided on this web-site, the
infrastructure and tools
of
the
New Media Alliance, Inc.
will be employed to
assist and empower college conservatives facing various forms of
oppression or intimidation within their chosen academic
institutions. The aggregation of these processes and
capabilities will provide campus conservatives with the means to
better counter and expose such egregious acts on a national
scale and provide them with and effective voice to challenge the
power structure that seeks to subjugate them on campus
Campus Journalists
TRC-OC
actively recruits college/university
student activists to function as Campus Journalists who
regularly submit pieces (news items, alerts, editorials)
exposing oppression or liberal extremism within their college or
university settings. The TRC-OC
presence on other colleges is designed to grow
organically as students identify the need and choose to act upon
it.
The activities of Campus Journalists
are coordinated by a TRC Regional Director:
Western region - Megan Fox
Mid-Western region - Megan Fox
North Eastern region -
Gary Schneider
Southern Region - John Plecnik
Media Awareness
All accepted news stories,
editorial and alerts will be published in our nationally
recognized e-zine, as well as the TRC-OC Web site and will made
available for publication by other outlets via our “Pundit Wire”
syndication service (Note: A new TRC-OC Syndication wire may
be produced).
Certain news events and press
releases are also distributed to
the on-line, print, radio and television media using our media
distribution tool. This tool allows us to distribute news and
press releases to potentially 20,000 media outlets nationally
and in Canada.
Support Services
In addition to the
aforementioned items, TheRealityCheck On Campus will provide (in
some cases in partnership with Rachel Marsden’s Andrasta Public
Relations) the following additional services, as appropriate and
upon request:
