California governor, and former film superhero, Arnold Schwarzenegger has pledged to lead a trade mission to Russia and assist “in any way possible” Russia’s drive to develop its own high tech “Silicon Valley.” U.S. president Barack Obama has also promised his backing in facilitating the flow of U.S. technology to Russia.

The eager participation of Schwarzenegger and Obama in exporting U.S. technological capabilities came during Russian president Dmitry Medvedev’s three day visit (June 22-24) to the United States. Medvedev was looking for technological assistance, and in return offered an increase in U.S. corporate profits and an attractive return for investors.

Medvedev’s campaign for venture capital and high tech aid occurred as his “new” Russia is looking increasingly like the old Soviet Union. Stark warnings about the true intensions of the Moscow elite are coming from vocal opponents within Russia, but are ignored by many in positions of power and influence in the United States.

The Russian “Silicon Valley” effort, known as the Skolkovo Project, named after the Moscow suburb in which it is located, has already gained wide support in the U.S. Boeing, Google, and Cisco are among the U.S. corporate giants participating in Skolkovo, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has agreed to participate in joint research with Skolkovo. MIT may establish, with Russian high tech corporations, a separate research group located at Skolkovo.

Millions of dollars of U.S. investment funds are already designated to be transferred to the Skolkovo Project.

One may wonder why these investments were not directed toward U.S. technological ventures, especially during the current recession/depression?

The working assumption surrounding cooperation with Russia is that Moscow is our friend, and the bad old days of confrontation are long over. After all, the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991 – almost twenty years ago.

Obama is a firm believer in the Russia-is-our-friend concept. During a joint press conference with Russian president Dmitry Medvedev at the White House on June 14, 2010, Obama called Medvedev “my friend and partner,” and declared Russia to be a “solid and reliable partner” which demonstrates “transparency, accountability, and the rule of law.”

There are those, especially in Russia, who disagree with Obama’s assessment and are warning the world about the future intensions of the Moscow elite.

One of Russia’s leading human rights activists, and a former Soviet dissident, Sergei Kovalyov, openly declares that Russia is not a democratic state and the present Moscow leadership is similar to the old Soviet rulers.

In a March 2010 interview with Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, on the occasion of his 80th birthday, Kovalyov expressed his sadness over events following the collapse of the Soviet Union.

Kovalyov declared that during the early 1990s following the collapse of the USSR, “the love for democracy [in Russia] was just a passing phase.”

The present Russian government under Medvedev differs little from the regime of former Soviet dictator Josef Stalin, where human rights existed on paper but not in practice. “Russians show no shame about the fact that our constitution today is virtually the same as it was under Stalin,” stated Kovalyov. He placed some blame on the Russian people when he said “we feel no shame that we have no elections, no public demonstrations.”

Kovalyov is unreserved in his estimation of the Russian leadership: “Everyone knows that the authorities are lying.”

One of Kovalyov’s fellow activists, Elena Bonner, wife of the famous Soviet dissident Andre Sakharov, had earlier described the reality of the present Soviet government when she said at Harvard University in November 2004, “To put it simply, Russia is under the control of the KGB….”

While Medvedev was enchanting Scharzenegger and Obama, a former member of Russia’s elite political inner circle warned the West about the dangers of a naïve trust of Moscow.

Mikhail Kasyanov, former Prime Minister under Vladimir Putin, urged Western governments to avoid excessive enthusiam for profitable investments in Russia. The former insider to the Moscow power elite urged the West to be “more principled” in dealing with Moscow.

Kasyanov also asserted that there was no split between “ex”-KGB operative Putin and Medvedev, often touted as and advocate for authentic democracy within Russia.

Kasyanov stated that not only was Medvedev not a source of “modernization and change,” but that there “is no gap between him and Putin.”

In point of fact, there is no disagreement among the Moscow elite, whether they appear to be closer to Medvedev or Putin, in regard to Russia’s expensive military modernization program or its support of pro-terror governments.

For several years Moscow has been engaged in a sophisticated modernization and build-up of its armed forces in every conceivable area, from small arms to nuclear submarines to a thorough reform of the military command structure.

Military technology is vitally important to Russia’s plans to deploy a military equal or superior to that of the United States. Recently, Moscow has unveiled its multi-warhead RS-24 intercontinental ballistic missile, which the Russian claims can defeat any U.S. missile system, whether now deployed or in development.

The Russian military is also proud of its new Sukhoi T-50 fighter, which Moscow claims is superior to America’s F-22 Raptor or the F-35 Lightening II.

Moscow is breaking with the old Soviet tradition in at least one respect, Russia is no longer reluctant to openly purchase foreign technology. Moscow is at present going on an estimated eight billion dollar spending spree to acquire foreign military hardware to update Russian capabilities.

Russia’s growing technological abilities will be placed in the service of a society which increasingly views the Soviet past with pride instead of one of the darkest periods of human history.

Moscow’s foreign policy betrays a particular anti-American strain as it continues to support the communist pro-terror states of Cuba, Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Nicaragua, North Korea, Vietnam, and China.

Patriotic members of Congress must act to restrain, and if possible, check the wholesale exportation of U.S. technology to a nation whose foreign policy supports nations hostile to the U.S., has its military and espionage services directed against America as its main enemy, and whose ruling elite do not understand that Soviet tyranny is not to be admired or emulated in a way.

American survival and the existence of God-given freedom depend on it.

Marxism is alive and on the propaganda march as seen in the defense of Communist Cuba and Venezuela by movie director Oliver Stone and former Minnesota governor Jessie Ventura on a recent edition of Larry King Live.

Stone, who has produced a “documentary” about Marxist dictator Hugo Chavez and his allies entitled “South of the Border,” is a well-known apologist for Communism, but Ventura’s pro-Chavez, pro-Castro statements indicate the success of a disinformation effort that would make the founder of the Bolshevik revolution – Vladimir Lenin – proud.

Lenin, who died in 1924, was nevertheless alive and well with Larry and his guests in the statements Stone and Ventura made and how those statements were delivered.

The Larry King interview displayed the carefully crafted use of disinformation and half truths which have been the hallmark of Communist propaganda within the United States since Lenin unleashed his campaign against America not long after the Bolshevik revolution.

Many have written off Lenin as a spent historical force. After all, the Bolshevik revolution has been repudiated by many — even in Russia — and the Soviet Union, which Lenin helped establish, collapsed nearly twenty years ago.

To judge Lenin by these events, however, is to completely misunderstand the Bolshevik leader and severely underestimate the effectiveness of the strategies which Lenin set in motion.

Chief among these strategies is the use of mass media to spread disinformation. The object is to both undermine the will of the people of a target nation to resist and to present in the best light possible the “achievements” of the Communist state.

Another important strategy, which fits neatly within the first, is the cultivation of influential, well-intentioned public figures who can be persuaded of Marxism’s good intensions. These two strategies have been employed from the start.

Influenced by Bolshevik friends and acquaintances, the investigative journalist, Lincoln Steffens, one of the first of the “muckrakers” of the early 20th century, traveled to Soviet Russia shortly after the Bolshevik revolution. Carefully managed by his Communist guides, Steffens was duly impressed and reportedly declared that he had “seen the future, and it works.” Steffens later became aware of the intensity of Communist oppression and terror and eventually withdrew his support of the Soviets.

A parallel instance seems to have occurred during the Larry King interview. Ventura praised Stone’s recent film about Hugo Chavez, and also lauded Fidel Castro and Communist Cuba. Ventura supported his statements about Cuba by indicating that he had visited the island.

Fellow guest Congressman Connie Mack (R-Florida ) countered Ventura’s pro-Chavez, pro-Cuban remarks, and drew the ire of Ventura who repeatedly and vehemently demanded to know if Mack had been to Venezuela. Mack had not.

Ventura’s own Cuban excursion and his acquaintanceship with Stone have left him as misinformed about Castro and Chavez as was Steffens about Soviet Russia some ninety years earlier.

One can only hope that Ventura will see the truth as Steffens eventually did.

Ventura is not a unique case by any means. There is an unbroken line of pro-Communist propagandists misinforming or disinforming the public since the beginning of the Bolshevik revolution, and this campaign continues to the present day.

One of the first and most shameless of these Marxist tools was New York Times correspondent in Moscow, Walter Duranty, who cultivated a positive view of the USSR during the bloody regimes of Lenin and Stalin.

During the Spanish civil war, Ernest Hemingway, Herbert Matthews and others who assured that only a clean image of the Communist Spanish Republic would be presented to newspaper readers, while painting Francisco Franco’s Nationalists in only the darkest of colors.

Edger Snow misled the American public about Communist revolutionary Mao Zedong, claiming that Mao was little more than an agricultural reformer. Herbert Matthews, three decades after protecting the image of the bloody Communist Spanish Republic, described guerrilla leader Fidel Castro as merely a young idealistic rebel fighting a corrupt dictator.

The misinformation/disinformation strategy exists to obscure the cold, deadly reality first established by Lenin and continued by his successors to this day: Communist rule is elite and absolute, and is protected by a terrorist secret police. This is a universal pattern applicable across time and around the world.

No Communist regime can long survive without the threat of the midnight knock on the door and the prospect of years of imprisonment – if not death.

It is unnecessary to visit any of the Communist prison states or march with any of the Marxist guerrilla groups to determine their affect on humanity.

Talk to exiles, learn about the prisoners of Communist states and rebel groups, observe the Communist use of terror to control the human spirit, and watch how information is censored within Communist states. Yet, Communists in free nations demand full enjoyment of freedom of speech and press.

Whether we know it or not, whether we admit it or not, the clandestine war — using Lenin’s well-established revolutionary principles — continues against free people. China, Vietnam, Cuba, Venezuela still revere Lenin, and Russia’s ruling elite continue to keep Lenin’s remains in his mausoleum in Red Square. Russian Prime Minister and former President, Vladimir Putin, declared that the collapse of the Soviet Union, which Lenin helped to establish, was the “greatest catastrophe of the 20th century.”

Lenin, unfortunately, lives.

Despite the end of the Soviet Union, the struggle continues for the soul of humanity, and this is a fight we cannot afford to lose.

It is no accident that April 22, Earth Day, is also the birth date of Vladimir Lenin, an acolyte of Karl Marx, the lunatic who invented communism as an alternative to capitalism.

Earth Day is naked communism.

To begin, it substitutes a worship of the Earth, Gaia, for the worship of God, creator of the universe and the instructor of moral behavior for mankind.

The Earth does not demand a moral code of personal behavior. Indeed, the lesson it teaches is “the survival of the fittest “and an indifference to suffering. The “natural events” mankind fears most all involve the potential for significant loss of life and for injury.

The Earth is a beautiful place, but it is utterly merciless. Man has learned to adapt to it and, by adapt, I mean to use its resources to build shelter and protection from it, to plant and harvest crops from it, and to domesticate some of its species while hunting and fishing for others for food.

Earth Day postulates that man is the cause of harm to Earth by virtue of his cities, his highways, his use of its sources of energy, and even the garbage that results from the normal course of maintaining life. For centuries mankind routinely burned and buried garbage. Now we are told we must separate and recycle it. We are told that everything plastic is bad even though it is one of the great inventions of modern times.

Communism reached its zenith in the last century. Its imposition in the former Soviet Union, in China, and elsewhere is a litany of murder and oppression. In the 20th century, a minimum 110 million people died as a result. It enslaves mankind wherever it can.

Environmentalism has been built on the foundation laid by communism because both exist to control everyone’s life. They are opposite sides of the same coin, both are opposed to the ownership of private property and both regard man as state property to be drained of his earnings through taxation.

Environmentalism’s preferred method is coercion and the mechanism for this is government.

While America was established to ensure “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness”, environmentalism exists to exert more and more control over our lives by limiting our choices, our liberty. Environmentalism redefines happiness as doing without the advances of science and commerce that protects and prolongs our lives.

There is nothing voluntary about environmentalism.

There is nothing voluntary about having to recycle. There is nothing voluntary about having to fill your tank with a mixture of gasoline and ethanol. There is nothing voluntary about the imposition of mileage standards for cars. There is nothing voluntary about losing access to beneficial chemicals that control countless insect and rodent pests that spread disease and destroy property.

While the vast majority of Americans clamor for the government to permit access to our nation’s vast natural resources of coal, oil, and natural gas it stands in the way, claiming always that drilling and mining pose a threat to the environment. At the same time it acquires more and more of the nation’s landmass to deter access and economic growth.

In the name of the environment, the U.S. government is set to impose a Cap-and-Trade law on Americans that has no basis whatever in science and is, in fact, based on the greatest hoax of the modern era, “global warming.”

Cap-and-Trade will tax energy use and directly control how much energy individual Americans can use to heat or cool their homes through “smart grid” technology controlled by the utilities, not the consumer.

Environmentalism is the reason the U.S. has not had a single new refinery or nuclear plant built since the 1970s. Think about that every time you drive your car or turn on the lights.

The spread of endless environmental propaganda has been taken up by the nation’s mainstream media and has infiltrated the nation’s schools through its textbooks and other means of instruction. Earth Day will be the occasion for an orgy of media coverage.

Just as communism failed the former Soviet Union and just as Red China abandoned communism as the model for its economy, environmentalism continues its relentless quest to deter economic growth and security in America. It is the infrastructure of a New World Order.

Do not celebrate Earth Day. Denounce it.

Rarely does a day go by that we don’t see the community organizer in front of a camera pretending to be an authority on something. His mindless and childish babbling is really becoming an annoyance.

We generally listen to someone speak because we can learn from their expertise. But listening to Obama speak is like listening to the ramblings of an incoherent idiot. He is an authority on nothing – unless you are interested in what Karl Marx, Saul Alinsky, Frank Marshal Davis, and George Soros have to say.

He professes on fixing the economy and a nonexistent economic recovery as though he knows what he’s talking about – he doesn’t.

He lectures on foreign policy and says that if we are just nice to our enemies, they will be nice to us, as though he understands how the world works – he doesn’t.

He sermonizes on healthcare with false numbers and benefits as though he knows how it will affect the economy and what it will cost the American people – he doesn’t.

He displays his naive ignorance on how to achieve world peace through appeasement and nuclear disarmament as though he knows anything about nuclear defense – he doesn’t.

He constantly demonizes Wall Street, the free market, and anyone who disagrees with him as being responsible for the problems that he and his liberal led Congress have created, as though he understands how private enterprise and the free market works – he doesn’t.

If, in fact, he does understand these things, then we can only conclude that – as many Americans believe – he is pursuing this destructive agenda with the intent of destroying the American free economy to replace it with a Marxist system of socialism. Either way, it shows him to be the enemy of the American people and the nation’s Founders, and unfit to hold the office of President of the United States of America. He must be removed while we still have the capacity to do so.

Why should we listen to this flim-flam man, an authority on nothing with his own liberal utopian illusions about our country and the world; a man who claims to have been a constitutional professor, when in reality, he has no understanding of, or respect for, the Constitution? His lectures were not so much on constitutional law as they were on his own anti-constitutional views.

Why should we listen to a man who has failed at nearly everything he has attempted in his life except for campaigning on the false promise of “hope and change?” He promised hope for change in Washington politics with openness and transparency, but what he is delivering is more of the same in Washington while changing the American free society into something else. That is not the kind of change promised in his campaign.

He wasn’t even much good at community organizing as is evidenced by his failed program with the Chicago Annenberg Foundation. Even his brief attempt with Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland law firm as a civil rights attorney didn’t work out for long. He had no accomplishment of his own and the résumé of a career drifter before entering politics.

He slipped into the Illinois Senate by using Marxist smear tactics to force his opponents out of the race and thus won the election by default. He did the same again to ride into the U.S. Senate on a campaign powered by Chicago Marxists thugs and a socialist Democrat party. That was, of course, without acknowledging his association with, and endorsement by, the communist New Party in the 1990s.

He managed to have his Illinois Senate voting records, and all of his vital records sealed before running for the U.S. Senate, and after his election by default, he served for 18 months before heading back to the campaign trail to run for president with a Senate record of mostly voting “present” on a majority of his votes.

Why should we listen to anything this empty suit has to say? It’s always the same socialist rhetoric he learned from Alinsky and Marx, but often punctuated with conservative sounding verses that completely contradict his intent. For example, he touts the opening of limited offshore oil exploration as a crumb thrown to Republicans for the passage of his upcoming energy bill. He knows that no drilling and pumping of oil will result from this for a number of reasons.

For one, “exploration” is not drilling. We don’t need more exploration; we already know where the oil is. We need to drill and pump it out. For another, no matter what he says or approves, he knows that the EPA and its partners in crime, the environmental whackos will use regulations and the courts to prevent us from making use of our own natural resources.

He even brought nuclear power plants into the mix as another crumb to be feasted on by Republicans. But those few power plants he talked about have already been approved by the government, but are tied up in the courts by the same whackos and tree huggers who think modern electricity should be produced by windmills and solar panels, but without the use of transmission lines, which they consider an eyesore.

He has nothing original to say, yet after every remark, we keep hearing the same recorded applause sound track day after day as though there is really a crowd of supporters listening to and cheering for every worthless sentence. Just listen to one of his speeches and you’ll hear the same sound track every time, the same voices cheering and screaming at every meaningless utterance. Just like a TV sitcom, this man is scripted and just as boring to watch, sound effects and all.

Never before in history have the American people felt as threatened by their government as they do today. This looks an awful lot like communism. By that, I do not mean Soviet Russian communism, but American communism that has its roots in early 20^th century progressivism. Although the American progressive movement got its inspiration, and had lose ties with Soviet communism, it now seems more of a cradle to grave, government dependence and rule agenda that bares a striking resemblance to Russian communism.

When big centralized government dominates a forced, left-of-socialist society, you have communism. When this same government attempts to take control of the free market economy, you have communism. This is what people fear our country is becoming since the election of Barack Obama. One needs only look at the healthcare bill to see that this is true.

Why does the healthcare bill mandate a government takeover of student loans? Doesn’t that give control to the Obama regime over who goes to college and who doesn’t? The new regulations being applied to private health insurance companies is guaranteed to put them out of business, leading to a single payer, government healthcare plan. The intrusion into our private lives and deliberate violations of our constitutional rights can be described as nothing less than communism.

Why was the left screaming and hollering about their rights to privacy when Bush conducted surveillance on terrorists, but are so silent on Obama’s violations of their civil and privacy rights with his healthcare plan? Moreover, where is the ACLU on this invasion of privacy and other rights violations? It seems privacy and civil rights only matter to the left when a perceived threat to them comes from a Republican president.

According to an on-air radio interview by Sean Hannity with Democrat pollsters and insiders, Pat Caddell and Doug Schoen, all congressional Democrats are under orders to obey and support Obama or they will “never work again.” If bribes don’t work on them, then threats will.

These orders come straight down from the White House and the DNC, according to Caddell and Schoen. Anyone who defies these orders will be drummed out of office and receive no campaign financing from the DNC. The DNC and Obama will actively campaign against them to assure an end to their political careers. Is this why we are seeing a growing number of Democrats resigning from Congress?

I’m sure the threats go even deeper than that but that was as far as Caddell and Schoen would talk about on the air. They also said that Washington Democrats cannot discuss this publicly or it would also be the end of their careers. Is this why Congressman Eric Massa clammed up on the Glenn Beck show after being so outspoken on the Obama regime? Caddell and Schoen said they could talk about it because they are no longer associated with, or dependent upon the DNC for their incomes.

Both voted for Obama (although Caddell won‘t admit it) and both now regret their vote. Schoen openly admits that he was suckered in by the Kool-Aid being served up by Obama – he thought O would govern from the center. The discussion went on for about 20 minutes but this is it in a nutshell. What they described is just what we would expect to see under a communist Authoritarian.

Sen. Bart (Stupid) Stupak didn’t just settle for an executive order from Obama on taxpayer paid abortions, he also settled for $4 billion to go to three airports in his state. That’s what it cost the taxpayers for his vote. What a back stabbing SOB he turned out to be after gaining the support of pro life Democrats and conservatives. He held out for all he could get, just as Ben Nelson did, but in the end, he knew his entire future would depend on his support for the Obama agenda. Now he resigns in shame with no hope for reelection and his reputation shattered. He could have become a hero of the people instead of a betrayer of all Americans.

This is what Democrats get for defying Obama. Independent thinking is not allowed – you conform to the regime or you’re out. If the right doesn’t get you, then the Obama regime will. This is not a good time to be a Democrat politician unless you were elected by drug addicted, pot smoking, homosexual, San Francisco liberals – the very flowers of humanity, according to Speaker Pelosi who represents them.

The community organizer sees America as nothing more than a poor black community that needs to be organized – by him. But he is not a leader, nor an authority on anything. He is nothing more than an authoritarian symbol of the far left, guided by his communist mentoring from Saul Alinsky, Karl Marx, Frank Marshal Davis, and with the financial and ideological support of George Soros.

Why didn’t the Democrats who voted for this fraud know for whom they were voting? Possibly because the media didn’t do its job of vetting this subversive enemy of America who rejects our allies and befriends our enemies? Why are they still defending and supporting him, now that we all know who he is? Maybe not all of us still know who he is. Maybe Democrats should stop depending on the MSM for accurate and complete political reporting, and turn to alternative media to enlighten themselves.

As the sun begins to set on an America whose dollar set the standard and whose capacity for manufacturing was unchallenged, a new superpower is emerging and it is China.

Many of the economists and China-watchers have been quick to seize on any bad news coming out of the Asian giant, but for the most part they have marveled how, since the new century began, China has proven adept at maintaining a fast growing economy. Indeed, so fast, it is beginning to show signs of protectionism.

In July 2007, an article in The Washington Times noted that “China, this year for the first time, has dislodged the United States from its long reign as the main engine of global economic growth, with its more than 11 percent growth eclipsing sputtering U.S. growth of about 2 percent, according to the International Monetary Fund’s 2007 projections…”

Further down in the article, the IMF’s deputy director of research, Charles Collyns, was quoted saying, “if you add together Russia and India as well, you get over half of global growth coming from the emerging-market countries.”

C-Span recently aired a segment in which John and Doris Naisbitt answered questions from a group of students at Tenafly High School (NJ) when they launched a tour to promote their book, “China’s Megatrends: The 8 Pillars of a New Society.”

Why, I wondered, start a book tour in a school, but it later occurred to me that these students will grow up and live in a very different world than either their parents or grandparents. It will be a world in which China will be a superpower and American may be in decline if current trends continue.

Up until the death of Mao Zedong in 1976, China had suffered grievously from the communist takeover he had led, beginning with the founding of the Peoples Republic of China (PRC) in 1949. Prior to that from the 1930s on through World War Two, the Chinese had suffered from Japanese occupation. Mao, a dedicated Communist, was clueless regarding how to create a successful economy.

The story of how China embraced capitalism while retaining its communist government is quite remarkable, if for no other reason, than the progress it has made. John Naisbitt authored “Megatrends” in 1982, a book that was on The New York Times bestseller list for more than two years, was published in 57 countries, and sold more than eight million copies. Many of those copies were bought by an emerging generation of leaders in China after Mao had decimated much of the nation’s educated classes.

Naisbitt, long before most others, knew that China was embracing change on a scale that most Americans and others could barely comprehend. He and his wife began to spend a lot of time there. Today, his wife Doris is the director of the Naisbitt China Institute in Tianjin and is a professor at the prestigious Nankai University where John is also affiliated.

My generation enjoyed all the fruits of the post-WWII bounty that accrued to an America that had no real economic rivals. Along with the Soviet Union, China was regarded as a threat because it was communist, but to his credit President Richard Nixon understood China should not be ignored and began the process that has led to an extraordinary economic partnership.

The Naisbitt’s book focuses on how China rose from the ashes of Mao’s horror show, asking “Why has ‘autocratic’ China succeeded while many other, democratically governed states have failed to make economic progress? Why is it that despite all efforts by westerners to push China toward western-style democratization, there is no similar outcry for such a shift in China?’

They conclude that “the constancy of the Communist Party has worked not against but for the well-being of the Chinese people. Long-term strategic planning could be carried out without the distractions and disruptions of elections that characterize western democracies.”

That transformation has been overseen by Deng Xiaping, Jiang Zemin, and Hu Jintao, three remarkable CEOs who created “an entirely new social and economic society with a ‘company culture’ that serves the needs of the enterprise and its people on its own path to modernity and prosperity.”

In the process, the Communist Party itself changed, adapting a “top-down, bottom-up” approach to governance that set the objectives at the top and allowed the people to introduce their “bottom-up” answers. As a result, “China, often thought as a monolith, is actually decentralizing power more than any other country in the world.” It has unleashed a torrent of entrepreneurial activity.

When one considers how the battle over healthcare “reform” has torn apart Americans in the struggle to avoid turning the nation into a European-style socialist economy and society, China’s “highest goal is a harmonious society and governance that is based on trust.”

This has worked in China because “Chinese gain power and self-confidence in the family, in a group, in the network in which they are integrated.” Not surprisingly, “The first reforms took place in agriculture, where today 40 percent of the Chinese still work…” What is often overlooked, however, is that by 2008 two-thirds of China’s economy was in the private sector!

Some of the results are remarkable. With a population of more than a billion people, “China has a literacy rate of 90.9 percent; life expectancy at birth is 73 years; and the per capita GDP is $5,962.” India, often noted as the other emerging economy, still has a lot of catching up to do. Its literacy rate is 6l percent, life expectancy is 69 years, and a per capita GDP income of $2,762.

It is not my purpose to load you down with statistics. It is to say that, while America suffers from a surfeit of too much government spending and borrowing—debt—the Chinese are forging ahead and doing so, ironically, with an economic system that has to be considered western in origin.

It is folly to not recognize the economic and societal miracle that has allowed the Chinese to move from a rigid system to one in which its people had a GDP in 1980 of $209.3 billion to about $1.2 trillion by 2000. A decade later, it continues to show growth.

Some time ago my nephew asked me what language his little girl should begin to study. I told him it should be Chinese.

Obamacare passed the House on Sunday night by a vote of 219 to 212. Obama was becoming so desperate to get his healthcare proposal passed that he was telling his Democrat followers in Congress that the success of his presidency depends on passing this horrid legislation. I agree. If this healthcare legislation fails to become the law of the land (and it still might), what is left of this “president’s” credibility and influence will be gone. He will have failed on his signature legislation and will become a lame duck for the rest of his time in office.

Conservatives will be embolden and encouraged after a defeat of the socialist element in today’s government, and will realize the power they hold in their hands. The rest of Obama’s “transformation of the country” will go the same way as the healthcare bill – into the trashcan of history. That is, providing this healthcare bill is never implemented.

The House was not even going to vote on the bill as required by the Constitution if Pelosi didn’t believe she had the votes to pass it. Instead, they planned to vote on a “reconciliation bill” and “deem” the healthcare bill passed without a vote. This violation, and others, would have been met immediately by constitutional legal challenges already prepared and ready to file with the Supreme Court, but public outrage at the tactic caused it to be withdrawn, and backroom dealings to bribe or buy off opposition Democrats made it unnecessary. Pelosi got the votes, by any means necessary.

Rep. Bart Stupak, D-Mich., who led Democratic lawmakers opposed to the Senate bill, sold his vote for a promise of an executive order banning tax money use for abortions, which can be revoked at any time. Does this mean no more federal grants to “Planned Parenthood” and other abortion clinics? Neither Obama, nor the Democrats, are going to deny their constituents an abortion on demand. Remember, Obama doesn’t want his girls “punished with a child” if they make a mistake? Anyway, congressional legislation trumps executive orders. Stupak is a fool.

The reconciliation House bill (a “sidecar” bill) must also be approved by the Senate where it will be stalled and amended, and may not pass at all. Eventually it will be sent back to the House, where it will be met with strong resistance to the Senate changes and another fight to pass it. House Democrats are counting on getting their reconciliation bill passed, which was a condition for many who changed their vote from “no” to “yes.” These Democrats are also likely to be left out in the cold with their political careers destroyed.

Pelosi says, “[We are] …one day closer to passing historic legislation which will make progress—history, of course, but progress for the American people.” Are not we all getting a little tired of hearing that woman say that what she is doing is “for the American people?” Who does she think she is, the mother of the country?

A victory for the American people, who by a wide margin oppose this bill, is not what this is. This is a victory for the Progressive socialists who now run the Democrat party. However, the fight is not won, nor will it be over. The court may put a “stay” on the law while it is being deliberated, and the various lawsuits are being settled. Republican hopefuls are promising to campaign on, and repeal of the law as soon as they take control of the Congress after the November elections.

We are going to go through this over and over again with Cap & Trade, Immigration Reform, Card Check, more stimulus spending, and yes, more conditions added to this healthcare bill. If not sold under the name of “healthcare,” the framework of additional Marxist healthcare reform will be contained in a bill by another name.

This is only the beginning of the Marxist coup. Each time the domestic enemy will become more dishonest, devious, and misleading. It has already progressed to the point to where we cannot believe one word this administration says. We are tired of the lies.

Republicans in Congress must continue not just to say “no,” but “hell no” to everything this administration proposes from this point on, and everything Pelosi tries to bring to the floor of the House. They must not be fooled again as they were with the Stimulus bill. Democrats must not be fooled by the lies told by Pelosi and Obama to get their votes for healthcare passage.

Cleaning up Washington corruption was something that Obama campaigned on heavily. Now it is the one thing that he counted on to get healthcare passed. Back room deals, bribes, special favors, entitlements for certain districts, arm-twisting and threats were all used to pass unpopular legislation.

While Minority Leader, John Boehner was speaking to the House on Sunday night, an uproar occurred in response to his remarks. The acting speaker, David Obey, made a call to order and insisted the members “respect the dignity of the House.” I’m sorry to say, this people’s house has no dignity. They destroyed what was left of that when they passed this illegal and unconstitutional bill against the will of the people.

Corruption is nothing new in Congress. It has become expected and an accepted practice on Capitol Hill ever since the voters started electing dishonest song-and-dance politicians instead of statesmen to represent them. This must stop, because it results in bad laws being passed that most Americans do not want. We’re seeing one now.

What special deals and bribes were used to convince Dennis Kucinich of Ohio, John Bocciere of Ohio, Bart Gordon of Tennessee, Luis Gutierrez of Illinois, Jim Costa and Dennis Cardoza of California, and Allen Boyd and Suzanne Kosmas of Florida, to switch their votes from no to yes on Friday? It is still the same bill that it was on Thursday when they opposed it.

We know Dennis Kucinich sold his vote for a ride on Air Force 1. Bart Gordon sold his vote for the promise of a job as NASA Administrator. Luis Gutierrez sold out his Catholic beliefs for a promise from Obama to pursue legalization of illegal aliens who have invaded our country.

Jim Costa and Dennis Cardoza of California have switched their vote from no to yes on the bill. Well, actually they are not voting for the healthcare bill. They are voting to have the irrigation water turned back on in their Central California districts, which was shut off last year by the Obama Administration to “save the Delta smelt fish.”

This move, which has destroyed California farming and put tens of thousands out of work, is now being used by Obama and Pelosi to control our food supply and buy votes for his Marxist agenda.

I cannot fault Costa and Cardoza for wanting to restore the water supply to the farms in their district, but this is just another example of the tyranny being imposed on our society by that man in the White House. These two congressmen are condemning the whole country to government run healthcare in exchange for special favors in their district, which they should be fighting for with other legislation of their own.

All of these people are now voting for a bill that they oppose, in exchange for selfish special favors, bribes, and kickbacks, but we may have to suffer for their corruption. It is the same corruption that got the votes in the Senate of Ben Nelson, Bill Nelson, Mary Landrieu, and Blanche Lincoln who opposed the bill, but voted for the kickbacks and bribes.

Federal laws must be made to apply to everyone and every state equally. If bills in Congress cannot do that, then they have no business being considered in the U.S. Congress and are to be left up to the states.

Our representatives must vote on the merits of the legislation itself, and only on the merits of the legislation. Because of this corrupt process, we are being strapped with laws like this healthcare bill that will raise our taxes; destroy our healthcare system; bankrupt the economy; usurp our freedom and liberty; and put private employers out of business – costing us even more jobs than we are already losing under this Congress and president – who caused this recession in the first place.

Any lawmaker who opposed this healthcare bill, or any other legislation based on its merits, then changes his or her vote when given a special deal or caves into threats from the DNC, is not worthy of holding that office. They have compromised their honesty, dignity, and integrity and allowed the tyrants to force ill-conceived laws on the public that we do not want. This leads to citizen unrest and anger at the lawmakers, and can only result in violence and eventual overthrow of the government if not corrected by either recall or elections.

Obama may be the best thing that has happened to this country in that he has awakened the American people to the Marxism and corruption that has been infecting our government, unchecked for decades. He has shone a light on just how far from our founding principles our nation has been dragged by the left, and the voters are now seeing it. I can’t wait until November.

Civil protests have always been a tool of the left while the right just sat on their hands and for the most part, ignored them. With little or no resistance from protesters on the right, the left felt safe in installing their century old Progressivism a little at a time.

The outbreak of “tea party” protesters must have come as quite a shock to the left and caught them off guard. As Japanese Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto famously stated, “We have awakened a sleeping giant and have instilled in him a terrible resolve.”

Obama and Pelosi are advancing conservatism in America. As they continue to push their socialism and force Marxist healthcare reform down our throats, they are showing all Americans exactly who they are, and the people don’t like it. The angrier the people get, the further they move to the right to get away from these un-American people. Many are realizing that they are actually Conservatives and didn’t know it before.

Even if this healthcare bill had failed, the Progressive left has shown their cards to the American people and exposed their Marxist plan to take over the country. This stain is not going to wash off of the Democrat party for a long, long time. They are going to have a lot of work to do to restore their reputation and credibility with the American people – something Republicans are now working hard at doing for their party after their brush with corruption and socialism during the Bush years.

Obama wants an “historic event” under his administration. It looks like he is getting it – but I doubt that it‘s going to turn out in his favor. In any case, I believe Obama’s boat has been sunk over this fight and he will never be able to recover from the stain he has put on the presidency. Obama won’t have to worry about being reelected, he needs to worry about being impeached.

During what can only be hoped will be the final struggle between the socialist and capitalist approach to health care the debate is focused on the cost of Obamacare, its impact on the nation’s economy, its legislative over-reach, and the fact that it will ration care.

If Obama wins, America loses. The “reforms” will ultimately end up killing people who would otherwise have survived illness or injury if it is implemented. Beyond that, Obama’s efforts to control large segments of the economy will pick up momentum.

An entire generation or more of Americans who did not live through the Cold War waged against the former Soviet Union or saw the rise of communism in China are unaware of the toll it took on humanity. In a 1997 book, “The Black Book of Communism: Crimes, Terror, Repression”, published by Harvard University, it set the death tolls at 65 million in China, 20 million in the Soviet Union, and so on. The total worldwide exceeded 100 million.

This week Americans will see if their system of government works to represent their will. When it controls the provision of health care, the government will literally have life and death authority over people.

Those who voted for Obama, giving him a fairly slim margin of victory, and those who instinctively sensed something terribly wrong in the man have now had their worst fears confirmed.

If our system of government works, it will reject Obamacare because that is what it was designed to do. The Constitution is structured to slow down the passage of a really bad law and to create obstacles to bringing it to a vote.

Only an administration with a totalitarian inclination would go to the lengths we’ve seen to pass a law that 75% of the people reject.

Obama is driven entirely by ideology and it’s the same one that motivated Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Castro, and the other dictators of the last century.

Ideologically, Obama is a communist whose views were shaped by a communist mentor in his youth. He is a true believer in the economic and social views of communism that government must control all aspects of the individual’s life and owns the fruits of his labors and earnings.

Over the years the voters have elected representatives and senators who subscribe to socialism since its introduction during the FDR era. Speaker Nancy Pelosi does not have to concern herself with the nearly 80 members of the Progressive Caucus. She has no Republican votes. It’s the other Democrats who are giving her fits.

Beyond Obamacare, there are other issues that are directly affected by his ideology and at the top of the list is the belief that the economy must be destroyed in order that a new set of governing principles be imposed. It is astonishing how the power of the executive and a highly centralized government facilitates this.

No element of government rule is safe from Obama’s clique of leftist “czars” installed to direct the various departments of government. From attempting to seize large portions of land for federal control to threats to regulate carbon dioxide, the heavy hand of socialist goals can be seen.

The administration moved swiftly to acquire control over General Motors and Chrysler instead of allowing them to go through bankruptcy for restructuring. Its “stimulus” program not only isn’t producing jobs, the number of jobless grows with every passing month.

Obama’s most troubling ideological threat to the nation is in the area of national security. In his book, “Courting Disaster”, Marc Theissen documents “how Barack Obama has exposed (CIA) secrets to the enemy, unilaterally disarmed us in the face of terror, and invited the next attack.” Another attack would be the opportunity to declare a national emergency and impose martial law.

Regarding the CIA interrogation program that produced invaluable intelligence about the structure of al Qaeda as well as its plans for more attacks, Theissen notes that “in his first forty-eight hours in office, President Obama shut the program down.” That is not the act of a man whose very oath of office requires that he swear to “preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States” and, by doing so, protect its citizens.

The President’s ideology and that of his Attorney General blinded both to the obvious idiocy of extending Constitutional rights to enemy combatants, men not even protected by the Geneva Convention rules of warfare. The announcement that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed would be tried in New York City produced instant and widespread outrage.

Outrage has also been demonstrated by the thousand and more TEA Party (Taxed Enough Already) groups that have sprung up around the nation. Their protests are being heard despite the effort of the mainstream media to marginalize them.

The best thing Barack Obama could do for his nation would be to submit his letter of resignation as President. He’s not likely to do that because he is too busy trying to destroy America.
