It looks like President Obama’s campaign site cum community organizing website, Organizing for America (OFA), has quietly dropped its claim that the “public option” is a “must” in its healthcare policies open letter to Congress.
Originally the open letter told Congress that it “must” vote for the public option. The second bullet point in the OFA’s letter originally read as follows:
- Guarantee choice – Every American must have the freedom to choose their plan and doctor – including the choice of a public insurance option.

That was when Obama was raising money from his lefty followers. Now, however, it’s a different story.
Apparently that whole “must” urgency is no longer as important on Obama’s campaign website. Now the original, more insistent bullet points are gone and a generic message only mentioning that the Obama plan has a public option in it now appears.
So, what gives? Has Team Obama decided to thumb its nose at its far left followers and shy from the so-called public option? Has the White House and the DNC realized that the public option is a loser and must be thrown under the bus? Is it just fatal realism hitting Team Obama between the eyes?
Well whatever is happening in the halls of power, it sure is vexing to Obama’s far left base. Several sites on the left are a tad annoyed… OK they are really peeved… about this turn of events that tends to run against their ideal healthcare proposal. Sites such as FireDogLake.com, TheNewArgument.com, and Florida Progressive Coalition Blog have all had entries carping about the OFA flip flop.
Looks like Obamacare is not finding friends anywhere.

No question, we need real health care reform, but I will not support Obama/Sotero on any issue, nor will I commit, or pledge to “serve” him in any way. He was elected to do a job, and he is supposed to a public servant. It is the presidents job to serve US. He needs to be removed from office immediately! He gained the high office of the presidency based on false pretenses. He has not produced a long form US birth certificate because no such document exists. He has spent a small fortune to keep his records sealed. What is he hiding? The Kenyan birth certificate that has been produced appears to be the genuine article. He is a usurper, a liar, a traitor, and he has commited numerous felonies before and since taking office. He has lied since day one. He brags of his main accomplishment as being a community organizer, which is nothing more than a buzz term for a Marxist agitator. He is trying to turn America into a communist country via the Alinsky method. Do a search on Saul Alinsky, Obama and community organizer and you will see that what I’m saying is true. This health care reform will cost a fortune, making HMO’s and insurance companies wealthy beyond their wildest dreams, while the level and quality of care will decline. Illegals will be given free health care, even though they haven’t paid one nickel into the system, since they plan another amnesty making all of them instantly legal, right after ramming this health bill down our throats. Older Americans which have paid dearly into the system for decades will be denied adequate care, and encouraged to end their lives through the deceitful “end of life” counciling. The government will literally hold in their hands the power to decide not only who will get viable care and who will not, but also who will live and who will die! To say Obama is not being supported because he is black is a damned lie, and the peanut farmer from Georgia is a deceitful dirt bag of a liar for saying so. He was probably paid a couple hundred grand for spewing such devisive, dishonest rot. Besides, Obama is as much a white man as he is black. Race is not the issue. It is the treasonous nation wrecking policies of a government that is out of control. Start demanding that he be removed from office and start working toward taking our country back!

The White House moderates all its residents. Obama is no different. He over-reached politically and now is– quite wisely– moderating his position. He is and will remain the left’s best hope. They have nowhere else to go. At least he is not abandoning them like Bush did the social right extremists. Politics is compromise. There is no policy without politics. Public option never really had a chance. The lobby is too powerful.

Obamacare has no friends…INSIDE Congress. On Main St., it’s “single-payer” or bust (and if anything Baucus and friends passes, it’s “bust”). This isn’t health CARE (ACCESS) reform, this is health-insurance-reform-in-reverse! So what the American people get is not just higher (recently, 10%) premiums but our tax money going to subsidize middle-class who can’t afford the 110% solution…and likely co-pays and deductibles anyway (only gain may be pre-existing condition care…but even that’s questionable).
But then, it’s not over yet. Still a long way to go. But if anything resembling Baucus shows on O’B’s desk, he’d be committing political suicide to sign it.

And I’ve dropped my support of Obama. I plan to continue voting in the future, but both Republicans and Democrats have proven themselves unable to govern in the best interest of citizens. So I will be voting all third party from here on out. Please join me.
