Just how close is the United States to being ruled by executive order? It’s a question worth asking given the flurry of executive orders issuing forth from the Oval Office.

 

It is perhaps a cliché, but it has long seemed to me that Republicans and, in particular, conservative Republicans, were the grownups while Democrats, liberal by definition, were the children; the ones that insist on instant gratification and for whom no lie is big enough to cover up their long history of failures.

 

Just over half of those who voted in the last election were so enthralled with the oratory of Barack H. Obama and the thrill of electing the first African-American President to office that they heard whatever they wanted to hear. I grant that the Republican candidate, John McCain, was no match for Obama. His voting record and general political views were so out-of-step with most Republicans that vast numbers of them stayed home rather than cast a vote for him.

 

The media played its role by elevating Obama to such heights he gained the mocking moniker of “the Messiah”. Time magazine put his face on the cover some thirteen times during 2008. An inauguration preview made it fourteen as 2009 began.

 

It helped, too, that the aptly named “Bush derangement syndrome” was in full throat to position George W. Bush (who could not run for a third time) as the cause of the economic bubble that burst toward the end of his second term.

 

When Bush first took office in 2001, he warned against “strong repercussions in financial markets”, but no one was listening. After 9/11 the nation’s entire attention was focused on the threat from al Qaeda and, thereafter, the war in Iraq. In 2003, when Bush Secretary of the Treasury, John Snow, testified in Congress that something had to be done about the cascade of failed mortgage loans being purchased by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Barney Frank (D-MA) who is now the chairman of House Financial Services Committee, dismissed his warnings saying there was no crisis.

 

Efforts by Republicans in 2005 and 2006 to staunch the bleeding at Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, two government sponsored enterprises, were defeated and, on September 7, 2008, both were put into conservatorship, another word for bankruptcy.

 

Prior to and ever since the Crash of 1929, the Democrats have seen a recession or depression as an opportunity to build party power. The latest Obama executive order strengthens union power which has long been in decline and for very good reasons. One of those reasons explains why General Motors is soon to be in bankruptcy.

 

Meanwhile, we have a Democrat President and a Democrat controlled Congress. As much as I have urged anyone who will listen to email, call, and fax their Senator or Representative to tell them to vote against the so-called “Recovery Act”, it is likely just a waste of effort. They like their predecessors in the FDR years are hell-bent to repeat the same errors that prolonged and deepened the Great Depression.

 

The voters have elected dumb people who will do dumb things and there is no foreseeable end to the pain and misery that will follow in their wake.

 

The federal government, the cause of the present crisis, needs to recuse itself from further mindless borrowing and spending if there is any hope to avoid the train wreck, but, that said, we have the wrong people running the train.

 

The United States of America is in peril of becoming the biggest banana republic the world has ever seen.

Once in a while there is a short piece spewed forth by some Old Media outlet or another that is so perfect as a primer of left-wing bias 101 that I just have to share it. In this case we have the Telegraph writing on the story, covered at NewsBusters a few days ago, where Barack Obama found himself confused by an outside glass panel he mistook for a door at the White House. Michael M. Bates compared the bemused and easy treatment that the confused Obama received to the vicious attacks that Bush suffered when he was similarly confused by a door that wouldn’t open in China in 2005.

Bates wondered aloud if Obama would see the same sort of hateful attacks on his intelligence that Bush was served up by the ignorati in the media in 2005. We have since seen the answer to Bates’ question. Obama has been given a pass. The Telegraph’s treatment of the story, though, is such a perfect example of the subtle, left-wing bias used to excuse anything a lefty does while still attacking every one else that it really must serve as exhibit “A” in the battle against Old Media bias.

And so, I give you the Telegraph’s story from January 29 headlined Barack Obama mistakes window for door at White House.

Hereafter you will see each paragraph of the Telegraph story fisked to reveal its ultimate underlying meaning:

The new US President, who has been commander-in-chief and resident at the White House for just over a week, was photographed from the gardens of the White House on Tuesday. Mr Obama was trying to return to the Oval Office after meeting House and Senate Republicans.

Bias: “resident at the White House for just over a week”  
Explanation: Don’t blame him, folks, he’s just new. I ain’t his fault we swear to God.

Instead of heading straight for the door, Mr Obama showed his unfamiliarity with his new-found surroundings and aimed for a door-length paned window.

Bias: “Obama showed his unfamiliarity with his new-found surroundings”  
Explanation: again making sure the reader is aware that Obama didn’t mistake a window for a door because he is stupid, he did so because he is merely unfamiliar with his “new-found surroundings.” (I see no reason to dispute this explanation, but see below why this is bias in its own way)

His “door malfunction” was far less embarrassing than that experienced so publicly by George W Bush three years ago on a visit to China.

Bias: the whole sentence  
Explanation: Why was it “far less embarrassing”? Because they say so, that’s why. False authority employed. Further, why would anyone in 2005 have expected Bush to be completely aware of every door that was locked in a building he was not familiar with in a country he’d rarely visited? Obama gets soft treatment for his “unfamiliarity with his new-found surroundings,” yet the media skewered Bush for his.

While making a hasty exit from a press conference in the capital, Beijing, Mr Bush tugged on the handles of a giant door, only to find it locked.

Bias: “While making a hasty exit”  
Explanation: Who says it was “hasty”? Only the media that wants to characterize Bush as running away, as a coward, or someone not interested in the business of diplomacy. Why didn’t they say that Obama was “scampering to seclude himself in the White House,” “or perhaps “quickly looking to elude the press” for instance? It’s because they don’t want to impute negative motives to Obama, that’s why. Bush, on the other hand, was fair game for fake motives to be assigned him by the media.

He was good-humoured enough to laugh off the blunder, but the pictures serve as a reminder of Mr Bush’s capacity for gaffes.

Bias: “the pictures serve as a reminder of Mr Bush’s capacity for gaffes”  
Explanation: And why did it “serve” as this “reminder”? Because the media says so. False authority again.

However, there was little note taken in Washington of Mr Obama’s mistake, easily made by a newcomer in the labyrinthine White House.

Bias: the whole sentence  
Explanation: another example of explaining away Obama’s mistake. See, the media wants to be extra sure you have it pounded into your head that he isn’t stupid, just unfamiliar with his surroundings. That’s why this very short piece says the same thing over and over again. On top of that, even the Telegraph notes that most of the media didn’t even bother covering this gaffe because they didn’t want to cast aspersions on The One.

Mr Obama, who was returning from meeting Congressional leaders, may have been distracted by the Republicans’ icy reception to his $825 billion (£600) economic stimulus package.

Bias: simply what? It’s the whole dang sentence!  
Explanation: so, the reason Obama can’t tell a window from a door is because Republicans are jerks? What does this have to do with Obama’s egress troubles? Seriously, you have to be kidding here? We are really going to blame the the GOP’s vote against socialism as the reason Obama walks into windows? Did they say that Bush left the conference because “China was attacking the USA?” Uh, no, they just said Bush was too stupid to find an open door.

In the end, this short piece is as perfect an example of left-wing, Old Media bias as you are going to find. If this piece isn’t chock-full-o bias, nothing is.

I would like to report one aspect of this story that would change why some U. S. news agencies have not covered this little tale that I have received from some media folks via email.

Verification for this story initially covered by the New York Daily News has been difficult to come by, apparently. There is only this single photo, no video and a corresponding lack of secondary sourcing.

Perhaps the original report was exaggerated by NYDN reporter Lisa O’Neill, perhaps she was mistaken, or perhaps she was dead on with her version and was one of the only people to catch it occur? What ever the case, some news outlets may not be running this story because they cannot verify it to their satisfaction.

Plausible enough.

However, that does not change the biased treatment that the Telegraph gave this story.

The Army is committed to finding out why more soldiers committed suicide in 2008 than ever recorded, according to Army Staff Sergeant Michael J. Carden. The Pentagon released their suicide figures yesterday during a media roundtable with reporters, bloggers and Internet journalists.

The apparent lack of understanding of two scriptures in the Bible is the underlying reasons for misinterpreting the explicit Word of God. According to II Timothy 3:16-17, the Apostle Paul states, “All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work.” Clearly, God and the Holy Spirit are responsible for the writing of the Bible, not any ungodly man who lives on the earth today. The other key scripture is found in Deuteronomy 12:32. It states, “Whatever I command you, be careful to observe it; you shall not add to it nor take away from it.” Therefore, the commandments of God should be carried out to the fullest. However, too many people are failing to follow God’s commandments. They are adding their own interpretations to God’s Holy Word in order to legitimize their sinful lifestyles. As a result, it is these misinterpretations of Holy Scriptures that will hold them accountable to God. In fact, in Galatians 1:9, God has promised that a curse would be placed on those who promote His Word incorrectly. It reads, “If anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.”

There are two main cultural issues that are clearly condemned by God. They are abortion and homosexuality. However, in post-modern America, these two cultural issues are being promoted as acceptable for anyone to do. But, according to the true interpretation of God’s Word, they are not. In fact, there are many scriptures throughout the Old Testament and New Testament that present a different picture from what some post-modern Americans paint, whether it is direct scriptures or inferred scriptures. Therefore, those who purport that abortion and homosexuality are acceptable to God are definitely misinterpreting the scriptures that God purposefully placed in the Bible for the post-modern world several thousand years ago.

What does the Bible say about abortion? There are no scriptures in the Bible that directly mention abortion. However, there are many scriptures that infer that abortion is not acceptable to God. Some of the more noted scriptures actually discuss the condition of the unborn baby in the mother’s womb:

Psalms 139:13-16-For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb. I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Jeremiah 1:5-Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, And before you were born I consecrated you; I have appointed you a prophet to the nations.

Luke 1:15-For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother’s womb.

Therefore, it is inferred in these scriptures that God promotes the “sanctity of life,” even while unborn babies are in their mother’s womb. If David, Jeremiah, and John the Baptist had been aborted, there would have been some meaningful Biblical heroics that would never have happened. In fact, since Mary, Jesus’ mother, was so young and was not married, she probably could have gotten an abortion, too. Of course, if Mary had gotten an abortion, Jesus would not have been born. If Jesus had not been born, mankind would not have had a way to escape his sins and to stay out of an eternal damnation in Hell. Also, how many of the unborn babies that have been aborted since Roe vs. Wade might have developed a cure for some deadly disease, such as cancer or AIDS? Ultimately, in the abortion debauchery, God is the Creator of Life. As a result, He and only He should have the right to decide when death should replace life. However, God does give mankind the right to take another life for self-defense, such as taking a baby’s life in order to save the mother’s life. But, taking an unborn baby’s life just because of an unwanted pregnancy brought about by promiscuity or the inconvenience that it might cause a working parent does not come under this category.

What does the Bible say about homosexuality? The Bible makes many negative statements about homosexuality. In fact, there are too many scriptures that condemn homosexuality as a sin, whether in the Old Testament or the New Testament. But, those who favor this sexual orientation refuse to accept what the Bible has to say about homosexuality. Instead, they misinterpret Biblical scriptures in order to legitimize their sinful lifestyle. However, let the following scriptures written in God’s Holy Word, not just the opinion of heterosexuals, become the standard bearer for judging whether homosexuality is acceptable to God. Some noteworthy scriptures are:

Leviticus 18:22-Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.

Romans 1: 26-27-For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

I Corinthians 6: 9-10-Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

As stated in these scriptures, God and His prophets definitely show a disdain for homosexuality. In fact, it cannot be made any clearer that homosexuality is not acceptable to God. But, those who promote homosexuality still insist on misinterpreting God’s Holy Scriptures in order to prove that they are correct in their assumptions.

However, the scriptures found in Genesis 1:26-27 and Genesis 2:21-24 state without a doubt God’s intentions toward mankind’s sexuality. Genesis 1:26-27 reads as follows:

26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

Therefore, as is so explicitly stated, God created male and female in the image of God. If His intentions were to have male and female, male and male, and women and women, He would have had it inserted in the Bible at this point. Also, Genesis 2:21-24 further reinforces the fact that God definitely intended there to be one type of sexuality. Genesis 2:21-24 reads as follows:

21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;

22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Once again, if God intended for homosexuality to be a viable and accepted sexual orientation, He would have inserted it here, and He would have stated that mankind could choose between a male partner or a female partner. But, He didn’t!

In conclusion, abortion and homosexuality are two ongoing cultural issues in America’s cultural war. However, many Americans are failing to consider God’s perspective on these issues. Apparently, they are misinterpreting two key scriptures that clearly state God’s viewpoint on all rebellion against Him that is occurring all over the world. These two scriptures are II Samuel 12:9 and Romans 1:18. II Samuel 12:9 reads, “Wherefore hast thou despised the commandment of the LORD, to do evil in his sight?” Romans 1:18 reads, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness.” From these two scriptures, it is evident that God does not approve of continual sin and rebellion toward Him and His Son Jesus Christ, including abortion and homosexuality. In fact, even though God is a loving Creator, He would eventually send His wrath upon all nations and peoples that disobey His commandments.

Therefore, it might just be possible that God’s wrath is being directed toward America and the rest of the world in the year A.D. 2009. As everyone knows, one sure fire way to get a person’s attention is to get into his or her wallet or pocketbook. Apparently, this is exactly what God is attempting to do in the United States. As a result of America’s sin and rebellion against God’s commandments, God’s wrath might just require individual Americans to pay a high price in the realm of personal economics. Also, the corporate world is suffering economically because of its sins of greed and unethical business practices.

But, as Jonathan Edwards expressed it in his famous sermon, “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God,” sinners who fall into the hands of an angry God can expect to face some type of God’s judgment. The deep economic recession that is affecting the United States and the world could very well be associated with God’s judgment on the world for its years and years of disobedience to Him. If this is true, it will not matter who the President of the United States is. Also, it will not matter how much money the government pumps into the economy. The only thing that will matter is whether or not Americans finally see the handwriting on the wall and ultimately ask for individual and collective forgiveness from God. Then, as II Chronicles 7:14 so aptly expresses it, “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” However, in order for this to happen in America, another Great Awakening (a national revival) must occur. Of course, this might not be able to happen if post-modern Americans continue to disobey God’s commandments and misinterpret His Holy Scriptures.

Many believe the Inquisitions were an indelible stain on Christianity, namely Catholics, during the Middle Ages. The Spanish Inquisition was the most denigrated, with alleged horror stories conducted by deranged Catholics. In 1492, Spain ended the rule of Boabdil, the last Muslim leader (Lord of History /Anne Carroll), by a Crusade.  

 

A true Christian and loyal Spaniard was Queen Isabella, who was determined to reform the Church in Spain. She decided to use the Inquisition in as a way to determine if the Moriscos (converted Moors) were a faithful Christian, or an enemy the country.

 

Not all, but some Moors/Islamics had been baptized Catholics and had risen to high positions in the government and Church. Their reactionary ideas and eventual plans to conquer proved a major threat to the Church, and to Spain.

 

In the beginning there were many abuses of torture, and executions of the guilty. The pope found out, stepped in, and appointed new Inquisitors. The head Inquisitor was a Dominican monk called Thomas de Torquemada. He reformed the Spanish Inquisition, made its procedures more lenient, and improved conditions in the prisons. He personally examined appeals of the accused and gave money to help the families of those on trial.

 

Physical torture was wrong and is condemned by the Church. However, abuses still took place without papal authority. Church officials actually executed no one. The guilty were tuned over to civil officials who carried out their own punishments.

 

Treason in the Middle Ages was almost always recognized as a crime justifying capital punishment. In the Spanish Inquisition the guilty were always given a chance to repent. It’s interesting to note the treasonous guilty were also executed here in the United States until just a few decades ago. Now, treason should never mandate the punishment of death, but there were 2,000 executions out of 100,000 tried in the Spanish Inquisition (Patrick Madrid/Pope Fiction).

 

The Spanish Inquisition was mainly a state affair, ruled by the sovereigns of that nation. The pope was actually only a distant overseer, ruling only on serious disputes. Records show repeated interventions of Church officials after learning of excesses or cruelty in interrogations.

 

The Inquisitions did result in some good effects. Opportunities for Muslim invasion and takeover were significantly reduced (Madrid). But as Warren Carroll (Reasons for Faith) states, “…the Inquisition was one of the fairest, most honest courts in Spain.”  

 

There is no question about the pope’s infallibility, which includes only two categories: doctrine and morals. The Inquisition was concerned with discipline: the civil and legal issues revolved around heresy. Even though the Inquisition was a truthful and legitimate tool, it was sometimes misused.

 

Spain has over 1 million Muslims today (over 10% of population), but is in direct danger of being overrun by Muslim customs and beliefs. In fact, most of Europe is growing rapidly with Muslims. World Muslim population (InvestEast) is 24.5% and accelerating.

 

The real threat is Islamic radicals—not peaceful Muslims. The Crusades held radical Islam at bay for hundreds of years. The Inquisitions helped to temporarily quell insurrections and takeovers by radical Islam. But violent and non-violent incursions of radical Islam have continued to usurp land and countries–many very recently.

 

Then 9/11 occurred.

 

The writing is on the wall. Can we see what it says?

It has been said that “Tolerance is a crime when applied to evil” (Thomas Mann). Do not pray for President Obama’s policies to succeed. Good Christians should not pray for evil to prevail. Those sentiments are contrary to God’s word. “Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven” (Matthew 6:10).

Corruption of the human heart

America has proven to have one of the most successful forms of government in the world’s history. The United States is as close to perfection as we’re likely to get on earth, compared to any other country. Our democracy was formed and established by our Founding Fathers, who wanted to make sure America was not going to become a mere replica of what was feared and left behind in Europe. Intelligent, God-fearing men therefore crafted policies that created the separation of powers in our Constitution to prevent such an outcome.

We have checks and balances within our government. There is a purposeful, clear separation of powers among the legislative, judicial, and executive branches. The very fact that we need checks and balances in government says something about the unbridled human heart. It can be deceitful. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9).

As each election passes and one administration gives way to another, there will always be people who are willing to put all of their hopes in a leader who promises to solve all of life’s problems. I find it unfortunate that so many of our fellow countrymen gravitated to a contrived Messianic figure. He rose up from obscurity in a city where corruption and deception are part and parcel of politics. Anyone who comes out of the corrupt Daley political machine is suspect, including pay-to-play Governor Rod Blagojevich, who shares sordid connections with some of Obama’s inner circle.

Let’s not be naïve. Obama is still the same man who sat in a church pastored by Rev. Jeremiah Wright. For twenty years, the new president was tutored in Black Liberation theology. Obama’s religious beliefs in no way represent mainline Christianity. Rev. Wright is a bigoted, anti-Semitic man who hangs out with Louis Farrakhan, the Supreme Minister and National Representative of the Nation of Islam.

During the time Obama attended the Trinity United Church of Christ, the church printed Hamas literature. Do you not think it strange that this particular pastor and his congregation felt an unhealthy sympathy for the Hamas terrorist group? The “Pastor’s Page” in the church bulletin should have been an eye-opener for American Jews and Christians who love the people and land of Israel

Why the disconnect?

Political pundits sounded the alarm in their opinion pieces. Conservative talk show hosts from coast to coast voiced concern about Obama. People from left to right listened intensely. Americans understand the importance of talk radio, no matter what political views they hold. It is the last bastion of truth where the average Joe or Jane can have their say. Where then was the disconnect?

I am asking with sincerity, because I have a need to understand and learn. Where were the thinkers among the voting citizenry? Obama allowed himself to begin his political career in the home of William Ayers. He knew Ayers was an unrepentant terrorist of the 60’s who tried to blow up the Pentagon, and who bombed police stations and a judge’s home. The homegrown terrorist group called the Weathermen was a Communist-driven splinter faction of Students for a Democratic Society and was responsible — according to the FBI — for the death of a San Francisco policeman.

It was Rev. Wright who told America that our chickens would come home to roost. As of this past week, Obama has given us reason to worry. Where will the Islamic terrorists who are in a safe and secure environment be sent when the doors of Gitmo are finally shut? We’ve been pretty much told that they will be kept in America’s prisons. The same maniacal terrorists will appeal to every deadbeat and radicalize them so they too can wreak havoc upon our nation when let back into our society. A number of terrorists who were released from Gitmo have returned to the battle fields and killed innocent citizens in Iraq and Afghanistan

“We’re talking about terrorists here. Do we bring them into our borders? Do we release them back into the battlefield?”, asked House Republican Leader John A. Boehner.

A free pass for alarming “change”

Almost immediately after Obama’s exposure to the media at the DNC convention in 2004, where he presented the keynote address, he began to run for the most important office a man can hold — without any experience. Nevertheless, the American voters have spoken. Unfortunately, we will now have to endure the change that many of us will live to regret.

Since Obama has been in office, he has not done one thing to prove that those who didn’t vote for him were wrong. With the stroke of his executive pen, he has started the process of making our country weak and vulnerable. The prison that holds potential murderers should not be closed.

With his funding of international abortion subsidies, Obama has signed a death warrant that reaches across to other lands. The innocent and helpless do not stand a chance against his repeated callous actions. Taxpayers will now be paying to eliminate human life in abortion clinics not only in America

The beginning days of the new administration came with some problems. Eric Holder is the president’s choice for the United States Attorney General. There is reason to be concerned. Holder has been a yes-man for those he has worked for in the past. He was high in the corrupt Clinton Administration (serving as Deputy Attorney General) and has connections with terrorists.

Tim Geithner was chosen for Treasury Secretary. He hadn’t paid his taxes and had hired an illegal alien for a housekeeper. It’s clear that both acts were not mere oversights. Unfortunately, it is a given that all of Obama’s appointees, no matter how questionable, will be given a pass and approved by Congress.

Socialism vs. personal responsibility

Democrats want their constituents to put all of our hopes in big government programs that will eventually ensnare Americans’ freedoms. Regrettably, there are misguided souls who want to believe that Obama will make their lot in life much better. However, it has been proven that people who take the personal responsibility to reach their highest goals are the happiest. Those who do for themselves maintain a certain confidence because whatever is gained by personal perseverance is appreciated by the achiever and society. Successful, goal-oriented people are not interested in having government take care of their every need from cradle to grave. In fact, it’s an imposition.

Forcibly sharing the wealth is socialism; it walked in the door with the newly elected president — whose party holds the majority in both the House and the Senate, and threatens the balance of power.

I am a firm believer that those in the public arena should strive to make life better for those they govern. However, I understand that on this side of eternity, human governments will bring with them “people” problems. America

Let me help those who still do not understand how we ended up in the financial mess we’re in today. The problems were brought about by a housing debacle caused by the Democrats in the Senate. They were warned about their irresponsible and reckless ways by President G. W. Bush in 2001, then again by Senator John McCain in 2005. The Senate kept pouring taxpayer money into institutions that were failing, and had the unmitigated gall to lie about it.

In a video, we see Rep. Barney Frank and other well-known Democrats betray us in their own words. They covered up the Fannie Mae-Freddie Mac scam that caused our economic crisis.

America

Once again, America will be held hostage to those Middle Eastern countries that have the world on a string. While the economy continues to spin out of control and the prices of energy and food go sky high, please thank our new president. From now on, America

Those warm and fuzzy, nurturing environmentalists are terribly worried about global warming, so Democrats prefer going green. They will stop anything — other than their own whimsy — to disrupt our nation’s energy. There will be no new nuclear plants built as long as “that one” has his say.

Did you know that Obama’s inauguration set the record for gas-guzzling private jets? Amazing!

Congratulations to 59-plus million Americans who voted for socialism and a man with whom we will have to contend for at least four miserable years. And a hearty applause of appreciation to the others who knew better and voted for their country. May God bless America

Politico reports that White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel holds daily chit chat sessions with several Old Media pals every morning to start his day. Apparently Emanuel has for years been involved with daily bull sessions to plan media coverage and ideological strategy with CNN’s James Carville and Paul Begala, as well as ABC’s George Stephanopoulos, with the occasional participation of pollster Stan Greenberg. But there is one little problem with this daily palling around with mediots these days: Emanuel now works for the White House.

As Politico’s John Harris notes, “in any given news cycle, it is quite likely that Washington’s prevailing political and media interpretation — at least on the Democratic side — is being hatched on these calls.” In light of this early morning scheming, one has to wonder where the supposed autonomy of the media is if they are being programed by the Obama White House in off the record, secret and daily conversations? Where is their objectivity if these media mavens are all assisting Emanuel mould and shape the news to further a specific ideological goal?

Even worse, where are the people that would normally decry a chummy, personal and secretive relationship between Emanuel, a partisan government operative recently called the second most powerful man in Washington, and major members of the Old Media? Where’s the outrage that the Obama administration is secretly programing media coverage?

Ed Morrissey of HotAir reminds us of the Old Media outcry that was raised when it was thought that the Pentagon held briefings for analysts that reported on military affairs.

Last April, The New York Times rebuked the Pentagon for offering information to analysts as a sort of breach of the public trust and reported the angry words of Democrat Ike Skelton (D- MO) on the matter.

Representative Ike Skelton, Democrat of Missouri and chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, said in a speech on Thursday that he and many other members of Congress were “very angry” about the issues raised by the article. “The story does not reflect well on the Pentagon, on the military analysts in question, or on the media organizations that employ them,” he said.

As Skelton said in April, the cozy relationship the TV analysts had with the Pentagon called those analyst’s veracity into question. If this concept was true last April, then the same absolutely must be said of Carville, Begala and Greenberg, and even more so of ABC’s George Stephanopoulos who is supposed to be a “news” man as opposed to an opinionist as Carville and Begala are.

After all, if we were expected to discount the military analysts because of their close relationship with the Pentagon, we absolutely have to view these supposed news guys with the same jaundiced eye since they are in daily, secret conversations with the President’s Chief of Staff.

So, we should be expecting CNN and ABC to announce their embarrassment that their purported “news” men are being so co-opted, right? We must be ready at any time to hear people say that Stan Greenburg’s work is forever compromised and untrustworthy, right? We must be on the verge of apologies by all four men for allowing their veracity to be called into question because of their cozy relationship with the Obama White House… right?

If not, then why not? Where is the proper level of outrage?

Unless…

Could it be?

Could it maybe be that these “news” agencies don’t care if their news men are being co-opted by the White House because it’s THIS White House? One run by a Democrat. And a White House run by The One, at that?

Well, I for one, am calling for ABC and CNN to fire Carville, Begala and Stephanopoulos as well as for everyone to stop considering Greenberg’s work worthy of attention. Short of firing the three TV newsers, the networks should tell their employees to cease and desist with these secret planning sessions with the White House and issue apologies to the viewers for not informing them of this secret pipeline to power.

How can we believe that Carville, Begala and especially Stephanopoulos will be informing us of what is really going on since we are now aware that they have been daily joining a powerful member of the Democratic Party in ideological strategizing? How can we believe that we are getting anything other than the Party line directly from Barack Obama instead of unbiased news when these three men speak to us from our TVs?

Fire Carville, Begal and Stephanopoulos now. They have sold out to Obama and cannot be trusted to report the news to the viewing public.
