Americans Will Reject The Fifth Column Democrats, and Obama

Posted by Marie Jon On August - 13 - 2008

Senator Obama’s beliefs and political views are in line with those of the American Communist Party. Americans will reject the man who holds Socialist Marxist viewpoints from sitting in the White House.

As President Ronald Reagan once said, “It is a time for choosing.” In less than three months Election Day will be upon us. It is a privilege and our duty to vote. If we don’t vote, we deserve the government we get. You should love your country enough to do some investigational homework before giving any person seeking a legislative position your approval. They are there to represent us, and too often they do not.

We are living in complex days. The whole world faces turmoil. We are besieged with problems from all directions. The media has caused irreparable harm to America. It has impacted the general public’s cognitive reasoning to be aware and discerning.

“The need is for a great foreign policy president of the quality of Truman, or Reagan. To win a long war begun by our enemies, we are going to need more than an attractive but essentially empty vessel.” — Iain Martin

Many are asking: “how did we get here?” We allowed the far Left wing of the Democrat Party to purposefully degrade our president for more than seven years for their own expediency and political gain. President Bush has kept our economy in stellar shape during his two terms in office.

Our nation is going through hard times. However, we’re not in a depression. We will be if the Democrats succeed in further damaging our nation’s economy by insisting on higher taxes and not allowing off-shore drilling.

High gas prices have pointed to a bunch of no-drill Democrats who refuse to hear the people’s will. Their psychobabble about our energy crisis puts our home land security in danger. We need oil as we develop other energy alternatives. Oil byproducts are found in nearly everything we use. There will always be a great need for fossil fuels.

Americans must choose leadership that comes with maturity and years of experience. This is not the time for a president to receive on the job training. Think before you vote. There are too many important issues that need immediate attention and can not be solved by words alone.

In an op-ed entitled “McCain Gets My Vote” persuasive reasons were given to elect Sen. John McCain. He has presidential credentials. Our troops and veterans have the greatest respect for him. World leaders know him and understand that he is a man of solid principals. .

If you’re an Obama supporter, now it the time to get off of your comfortable complacency. Familiarize yourself with Obama just like you know the back of your own hand. Don’t take other people’s words as fact. There is much information to absorb before you cast your vote. Obama may impress you, but his shady past and lack of experience must take priority in your final analysis.

Become a Sherlock Holmes while seeking information about your candidate. Checkout other places including the DNC website or BarackObama.com. Rev. Wright suggested that we read Dr. Cone’s “Black Theology and Black Power.” While you’re at it, pick up a book on CD: “Obama Nation.” written by Dr. Jerome Corsi. You’ll get a well rounded picture of the man that you believe is admirable.

Clearly understand Obama.Your own life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness depend upon your wisdom when choosing the leader of the most important and powerful country in the world. It pays to listen to the opposition in order to gauge your own stance. Tune into conservative radio.

Everyone knows Sen. John McCain. He does not have relationships with noxious people who are known for their anti-American and anti-Semitic bigoted remarks. There are list of supporters including The American Communist Party, The New Black Panther Organization, and terrorist groups pulling for Obama to win the presidency. McCain has no relatives living in Kenya that are Marxist and consequently, he has never injected himself into Kenya’s politics. However that can not be said about the presumptive Democrat nominee, Barack Obama.

While Obama was at a high school gym in Indiana, a seven year old girl asked him why he wanted to become President. Obama’s answer was inappropriate, and defied any good explanation. He did not give an uplifting answer. He said: “America is no longer, what it could be, what it once was, — and I say to myself, I don’t want that future for my children.” He sounded like Rev. Jeremiah Wright all over again. Thank God everyone can become successful in America.

Excerpts from WorldNet Daily: Thinner and thinner

“Thinner,” the 1984 novel by horror novelist Stephen King, published under his pseudonym Richard Bachman, is about a fat guy who wrongs a gypsy and winds up cursed to grow progressively thinner. At first the change is gratifying, but as he transforms into a haggard bone rack, he begins to realize that he’s going to die if he doesn’t do something. Thus, his quest to have the curse lifted ensues.

“Political pollsters would like us to believe they’ve got a bead on voter preference for Sen. Barack Obama and John McCain with regard to who is likely to win the presidency in November’s general election; this sort of thing is, of course, their stock in trade.

“The fact remains that the 4 to 10-point leads polls have been reporting for the last month or so don’t mean anything with respect to the election, and are far enough within the margins for error to give pause at this stage of the game. Acknowledging this, even the overwhelmingly pro-Obama.

“It also appears — and I tend to believe this based on reader mail — that some savvy individuals who had leaned toward Obama actually decided to do some cursory research on the candidate. Some apparently did not like what they found. While a great many who rely on the establishment press and the Obama campaign are obviously clueless, there is a wealth of information from other reliable sources which gives insight into the pre-candidacy Barack Obama.

“That he is not what he seems has indeed become apparent to some likely voters. To these, he is becoming more transparent.” Full Article

Political pundits with integrity will dig deep while investigating information for an op-ed.They have come away with serious and significant flaws in the man who has been neither forthright nor honest. He first presented himself as a man who transcended old politics. He gave an amazing speech in 2004 that awed all America.

It is to America’s advantage, in this case, that the election campaign is extremely long. As the months went by, Obama lost his cool and hip persona. He turned out to be a stealth character from the dens of old Chicago politics. After hearing from his spiritual mentor, “God Damn America,” Rev. Wright, we all knew there was a problem with the anointed one named Obama.

Yes, we can use humor to imply that America received a warning message from on high. People are troubled about Obama, but it has nothing to do with his skin color. The exploitation of the minority issue by the Democrats is deplorable. Too often, it has been Obama’s strategy to use race as leverage. Doing so will prove to become his undoing. It is an insult to imply that America is a racist country.

“What they’re going to try to do is make you scared of me. You know, he’s not patriotic enough. He’s got a funny name. You know, he doesn’t look like all those other presidents on those dollar bills, you know. He’s risky. And did I mention he’s black?” — Barack Obama

Obama worked as an organizer in his younger years. With the radical rules laid out by activist Saul Alinsky, Chicago became the hub-bub of the religious Left and faith-based organizing. It was there where Obama showed his lack of good judgment. He associated himself with people that ordinary folks would not befriend.

In 1995, Alice Palmer, who was about to retire from her position of Sate Senator of Illinois, hand picked a left winger by the name of Barack Obama as her successor. To introduce Obama to influential liberals, Palmer held a social function at the home of Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn, thus the beginning of Obama’s political career which linked him to the infamous Ayers of the Weatherman terrorist organization. As Barack paved his way through Chicago’s extreme left wing politics, he kept a friendship with Ayers and his wife. Obama acknowledges that they are still friends to this day.

Both Bill Ayers and his wife say that they never regretted any thing they did during the 60’s and 70’s. People died because of their actions. Bernadine said that she approved of the heinous Charles Manson murders.

The Weatherman was a Communist faction of Students for a Democratic Society. They proudly characterized themselves as an American Red Army. The ideology of the organization included the killing of all rich people and the encouragement of others to murder their own parents if it served their radical terrorist cause. It was their goal to bring about a revolution.

Authorities mishandled the Ayers case. As a result, Aryes and his wife never served prison time. The unrepented couple lives amongst our society. There are other people that came into Obama’s life that you’ll indeed find troubling. The onion is being peeled back and what emerges is a man who should have never run for the presidency.

The Democratic National Committee must believe that all of their constituents are lummoxes. The DNC presented an unvetted man before the American public, and with the help of the biased liberal media, Americans will be put upon to elect Obama to dispel the untruthful notion that race problems still exist in our country.

Middle America no longer cares to hear Obama’s empty rhetoric. They have grown immune to an over exposed candidate who is full of self aggrandizing pride. His countenance has incredibly changed from a wide eyed hopeful, to an unappealing smugness.

His speech in Germany left most Americans feeling flat. If anything, it was viewed as unmitigated arrogance, because Obama is not the president.

Our nation is more than ready to elect its first black president. Obama’s political views will not win him the position he is seeking. Americans love their country too much to hand it over to the far left’s “fifth column Democrats.”

Homeland Security Department Faces Manpower Shortage

Posted by Jim Kouri On August - 13 - 2008

Since its inception in 2003, the US Department of Homeland Security has faced significant challenges related to recruiting, retaining, and managing its workforce of over 170,000 employees.

The US Congress requested the Government Accountability Office to analyze DHS’s attrition, efforts to recruit and retain staff, use of external employees, and compliance with certain provisions of the Vacancies Reform Act, which requires agencies to report to Congress and the Comptroller General vacancies in certain presidentially-appointed positions requiring Senate confirmation.

To conduct its work, GAO surveyed human capital personnel from DHS and its component agencies; analyzed federal personnel data files, Office of Personnel Management (OPM) documentation, and relevant legislation; and interviewed key DHS officials.

DHS’s overall attrition rate for permanent employees (excluding those in the Senior Executive Service and presidential appointments) declined from 8.4 percent in 2005 to 7.1 percent in 2006.

These rates, which were above the roughly 4 percent average rate for all cabinet-level agencies, were affected by high levels of attrition (about 14-17 percent) among transportation security officers at DHS’s Transportation Security Administration. With the security officers excluded, DHS’s attrition rate was 3.3 percent. To monitor and understand attrition rates, DHS and several of its component agencies separately analyze attrition data and administer exit surveys to employees upon their departure.

The GAO has previously reported that these data are useful to agencies for workforce planning purposes. DHS used various strategies to recruit and retain employees in fiscal years 2005 and 2006. For example, DHS used human capital flexibilities in accordance with OPM guidance that included offering employee cash awards and hiring staff under a 2-year training program.

These practices and others were rated by most DHS human capital officials GAO interviewed as “very effective” recruitment or retention tools, though most component officials also cited barriers to making greater use of certain flexibilities, such as expedited hiring. DHS implemented agreements under the Intergovernmental Personnel Act, allowing nonfederal employees to be temporarily assigned to a federal agency to meet mission needs.

As of September 2006, 36 such agreements were in place, roughly half of them in DHS’s Science and Technology Directorate. DHS also used personal services contracts to acquire talent from outside the government on a temporary basis — with 61 such contracts in place as of September 2006, almost all of them in Customs and Border Protection and U.S. Coast Guard.

Between March 2003 and April 2007, DHS filled 16 positions covered by the Vacancies Reform Act and complied with the “tenure provision” in all cases, which limits to 210 days the tenure of acting officials in certain positions that require presidential appointment and Senate confirmation.

However, during this same period, DHS did not always meet related reporting requirements of the act and did not have one of the five management controls that GAO has reported as necessary to ensure compliance — written procedures documenting how to comply.

The act requires that agencies immediately report vacancies to Congress and the Comptroller General. DHS did not meet this requirement for 3 of 16 vacancies between 2003 and 2007; DHS’s Office of General Counsel did not know why these vacancies were not reported.

GAO has previously reported that documented procedures are a necessary management control mechanism so that when DHS staff responsible for ensuring DHS’s compliance with the act leave or are reassigned, their replacements will have established guidelines to follow.

NYT Columnist David Carr: ‘It’s News When We Say It Is’

Posted by Warner Todd Huston On August - 13 - 2008

So, why did the Old Media seem to miss the John Edwards Love Affair story? Well, maybe it was because the Old Media hadn’t deigned to decide for us that it was “news” until after the New Media had chewed up and spit out the story for days and days? Apparently, that is what David Carr of The New York Times thinks, anyway. In an interview with CNN he alludes to the fact that he is used to the Old Media deciding when something is officially “news” and that maybe he and his contemporary journalists have lost that level of control they were used to enjoying. This fall from grace is being seen most readily in the Edwards story that the New Media had digested for a week before the Old Media got to it

CNN’s Election Center Blog posted the Carr interview on August 10 with the headline “Edwards affair: Was media part of a ‘conspiracy of silence’?” This CNN posting purports to explore why the Old Media seemed absent from the story for so long?

The CNN piece cites many factors from the fact that the Old Media has a disdain for National Enquirer stories to a claim that the Old Media is reticent to exploit sex stories. The former is a sensible precaution and the later an outright laugher. After all, the Old Media had no problem whatsoever in exploiting the rumors of George H.W. Bush’s affair, Newt Gingrich’s affair, Newt’s successor to be Bob Livingston’s affair, the John McCain affair story, Larry Craig’s restroom stall story, or Mark Foley’s Page Scandal… but then again, THOSE are Republican sex scandals. The same delicacy the Old Media handles sex stories with as claimed by CNN does not exist for those sorts of stories.

There was one section of this CNN piece that was telling about John Edwards’ character. The story recounts how the National Enquirer brought up the Edwards love child story last October and that, since the Enquirer had some incorrect assertions, Edwards used those inaccuracies to claim, “The story is false, it’s completely untrue, it’s ridiculous.”

Edwards on Friday said he used the fact that the Enquirer story “contained many falsities” to deny it. “But being 99 percent honest is no longer enough,” he said in a statement.

Of course, even in October, Edwards knew that the story was basically true even if the Enquirer got some of their facts wrong.

But wait a minute. Let’s follow Edwards’ logic here. So if a witness says he saw you rob a store and it was true. If he said you killed the clerk and that was true. If he said you had stolen a car to make your get away and that was true. But he said you had on a red shirt when in fact you had on a blue shirt then if you were to categorically deny the story you’d be in the right because you were “99 percent honest”? There’s some nice John Edwards logic, eh?

Another funny part of this piece is where ABC correspondent Kate Snow was claiming that they “broke the story” officially when they got the John Edwards admission on TV.

“Until he called — and it’s on the record that he called us on Friday and said, ‘I want to talk.’ You know, that’s what broke the story. He was willing to admit that he had been lying,” Snow said.

What amusing arrogance. Everyone else in the world already knew the truth. But, because Edwards decided to tell ABC, why it was that interview that “broke the story.”

The CNN posting goes on to give all sorts of Old Media excuses for why they waited so long to cover the story but they saved the most interesting one for last. It was a few quotes from New York Times columnist David Carr that is of special interest.

“I was taught when I was a young reporter that it’s news when we say it is. I think that’s still true — it’s news when ‘we’ say it is. It’s just who ‘we’ is has changed,” Carr said.

“Members of the public, people with modems, people with cell phones are now producers, editors. They can push and push and push on a story until it ends up being acknowledged by everyone.”

Notice the arrogant assumption that only they have the official standing to let us know what the news is? That is where the Old Media comes from, for sure. They think they are the arbiters of what we, the great unwashed, should be allowed to know.

But, it is interesting that he is beginning to get the notion that the exalted place the Old Media used to hold up there on Mount Olympus is beginning to change. The lowly “members of the public” are beginning to change the Old Media’s role and challenge their claims as the oracles of the news. Notice, by the way, that Carr refused to use the vulgar term “bloggers” preferring to say “members of the public, people with modems, people with cell phones” in place of the term “blogger.”

Still, it is an interesting series of quotes on the Old Media and its changing role all coming sharply into focus with this major failure to report a story that everyone already knew — everyone but the Old Media, of course.
